One basic premise of my art is to generate power in a straight line towards the target. I have found that this technique allows me to hit a person 'at will.' There's little resistance because people typically can't identify what I'm doing (Mir will tell you). However, it does take a little courage to do the technique successfully. If you think about resistance as mental resistance, then I guess the quote is spot on.
