I'm in Combat magazine.

To my joy, I have been included in the panel of 6 students that have been interviewed by Sensei Stuart Anslow of Great Britain. My answers have been published in the "Combat Panel" section of Combat magazine.

Hey there.

Thanks for stopping by.

I'm just starting in Chito-Ryu, I've been at it for now... 5 months. Coming from Shotokan and before, Tae Kwon Do (4 years) and Aiki-budo(2 years).

Yes, I seek karate-do. It's what was missing for me. I found it, like an older brother waiting for me. Finding the path was the best thing that happened to me. Now, I have to walk. Just like others did. It's hard.

Those little texts you read were from me. Except the story of the wolf, which came from my first Shotokan Sensei. He later left for Chito-Ryu, after 25 years of Shotokan. That move made me think a lot. And I followed him. I don't practice with him, we're too far geographically. Still, I followed Sensei's footsteps. You never do forget the first Sensei.

So, it was nice to read those articles. Lots of wisdom and footsteps in there. I'll share it, if you don't mind.

Have a good day, walker of the path.

So THAT's why your picture shows someone who has skills, and balance. I was wondering about that since you had mentioned that you were only a white belt in Chito Ryu going for yellow.

Seeking karate-do is hard.. yes.. but so worthwhile because you take your training with you into life, and use it to support the rest of your endeavors.. physically, spiritually, and mentally.

I lost my first Shotokan Sensei about a year and a half ago. I can understand the words that you said that you never do forget the first Sensei.

I'm glad that you enjoyed my articles. Feel free to share it.. they are thoughts, and just because they started from me that does not mean that they are owned by me. This idea makes me think about how Sosai Oyama would say that "Karate starts with a point, and ends in a circle." I came up with an idea and shared it with someone, and that sets the idea moving through others. One day my idea might just come back to me improved because it was sifted through so many minds.

You have a good day, too. I'm looking forwards to what you place on your blog. I'm keeping my eyes on you... ( Is that a threat, or an encouragement? Ha ha ha)
